- New Scholarship Funding – November, 2009
- Scholarship funding is now available from St Joseph's Care Group for Psychology students conducting health related research under the supervision of Dr. Michel Bedard.

- Psychology Doctoral Student Awarded Major Scholarship – May, 2009
- Suzanne Stone, a Ph.D. student in the department of Psychology, was recently awarded the Frederick Banting and Charles Best Canada Graduate Scholarships (CGS) Doctoral Award for her research on predictors of symptom severity during the menopausal transition. The scholarship was awarded for two years and provides $30 000 dollars per year and a $5000 dollar per year research stipend. These scholarships are administered by CIHR and are intended to provide special recognition and support to students who are pursuing a doctoral degree in a health related field in Canada. Award winners are chosen based on their exceptionally high potential for future research achievement and productivity.
